  1. In first round suppose I got admission in some NIT college and I mark floating round then
    1) Is my admission is reserved in that college? with floating round option.
    2) Am I eligible for spot round? by keeping my admission reserved in previous round.

    1. Hi Atul,
If you mark floating for your seat, you may get a seat in a better or preferred college. Your admission is reserved but not confirmed. Though, in any case, you have to report at the reporting center. If you do not appear at the reporting center your admission will be canceled. Also, you won’t be allowed for further counseling.
Spot Counselling is for candidates who have not registered earlier. If you have NIT Seat, Spot Counseling isn’t for you.

  2. My son Arjun Belur had undergone the IIT JEE MAINS AND ADVANCE. And has scored very well. He has scored 2106 in B.arch .
Due to our strong personal family reasons we could not register on June 15th.
But we still don’t want to loose his seat and we are very much interested to join him at IIT kharagpur for B.arch
As the registration process is over please help my son Arjun Belur for admission and do the necessary formalities to continue with the ongoing process undergoing at present and get admitted on time without fail.
Please see to it immediately and reverse me.

    1. Hi Sapnashankar,
Sorry to inform you but the process does not take place in this manner. The Registration Process was open from 15th June to 25th June 2019. If the registration was not done successfully in this time, the candidate has to appear in the examination again.
Or The candidate may appear for the Spot Counselling. If only the seats remain vacant. This case might be difficult as seats in IIT Kharagpur are rarely left vacant. You can either wait for the Spot Counselling or take admission in any other college not under JoSAA Counselling or give the exam next year again.
All the best for the future.
