Dates For JoSAA Counselling 2020

JoSAA Counselling 2020

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is going to announce the Academic Admissions for the candidates who are aspiring for the Engineering Colleges. The candidates would register and choose their respective Colleges, will get their Seat Allotments for the year 2020. The purpose of these examinations is to score the seats in the best engineering colleges in India. The candidates would be required to go through the JEE Main Counselling 2020 for the seat allotments.

What Is The Complete Procedure of JoSAA Counselling 2020?

The process of JoSAA Counselling 2020 is completely taken care of by Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The candidates would have to Register, Choice Filling & Lock Choices, report at the Reporting Centers to confirm their Seat Allotment.

JoSAA Counselling Registration 2020

The candidates would be required to Register for JoSAA Counselling 2020. Through the Candidate’s Portal (link to which is provided here), can register themselves for the JoSAA Counselling Process 2020. The candidates would be required to submit their Personal Information, along with the JEE Main Rank / JEE Advanced Rank and apply for JoSAA Counselling 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in IITs

The candidates who are registering for the JoSAA Counselling 2020 for the admissions in IITs, they must be eligible to do so. That is, the candidate must have appeared in the JEE Advanced 2020 and cleared the examination and must be eligible following the Ranks. The candidates who have not appeared in the JEE Advanced 2020 will not be allowed to appear in the JoSAA Counselling 2020 for Indian Institute of Technology or any of its branches.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in NITs+

The candidates who have only appeared in the JEE Main and cleared the cutoffs would be able to appear in the JoSAA Counselling 2020 for NITs, GFTIs, and IIITs only. These candidates can not apply for the IIT institutes. As Indian Institute of Technology only allows the candidates who have cleared the JEE Advanced exam to appear for the admission process.

The candidates with the respective eligibilities should register themselves in accordance with the JoSAA Counselling 2020. The candidates should see to it that they follow all the steps carefully and do not lose the chance to appear in the counselling procedure and score the admissions in best of the institutes.

JoSAA Counselling Registration Form Filling

During the registration process, the candidate is required to undergo the complete process of JoSAA Counselling Registration Form Filling. The candidates registering would be required to fill in their Personal Details, Marks, and Ranks that they have obtained in the JEE Main 2020 / JEE Advanced 2020 examination. The candidate must fill in all the details while they log into the Candidate’s Portal of JoSAA through their JEE Main Login Credentials.

Josaa 2020 Choice-Filling

The candidates once register for JoSAA Counselling 2020, would be selecting and locking their Choices. It is necessary that the candidates select choices for the Academic Admissions for 2020. The choice filling is the process where the candidate has to select a minimum of 4 choices of the colleges/institutes in which they aspire the admissions. The process of Choice filling is carried out along with the registration process.

JoSAA 2020 Choice Modification or Choice Locking:

The candidates can later log into through JoSAA Login 2020 using their JEE Main 2020 Login Credentials and update their choices and set their preferences. Selecting the preferences means that the candidate would set in their first choice of the college and furthermore selections. The candidate would be given admissions based on their ranks and their first preferences.

JoSAA 2020 Declaration of Seat Allotment & Rank List

The registered candidates will be allotted according to their rank, preferences, category, and availability of seats. The candidates would be receiving the notice through the Emails about their JoSAA Seat Allotment 2020 Declaration. The result of seat allotment will be announced in online mode. In total, seven rounds of JoSAA 2020 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted by the authorities. The candidates would then have to visit the official website and Download their Allotment Letter.

JoSAA Allotment Letter Download

Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the JoSAA Allotment Letter through online mode only. The candidates can visit the official website and download the JoSAA 2020 Allotment Letter through the candidate’s login. Also, the payment of the seat acceptance fee has to be done by the candidates during they confirm their admissions at the reporting center. The e-challan has to be downloaded and the candidates will have to pay Rs. 35,000 (General candidates) or Rs. 15,000 (SC/ST/Gen-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD/SC-PwD or ST-PwD) . Payment can also be done through SBI Net Banking for the process of Seat Acceptance.

This fee is only payable if the candidate wishes to accept the seat that has been provisionally allotted to them by Joint Seat Allocation Authority.

Reporting at JoSAA Reporting Centers

On their Allotment Letter, the candidate can check the Corresponding Reporting Center and its address. The candidates must report at the Reporting Center for Document Verification. All the original documents and their photocopies are a must to report with at the JoSAA Reporting Centers. The candidates must report them in the specified date and specified centers. If the candidate fails to report at the specified corresponding reporting centers, their admissions would be canceled.

Confirmation Of The Admissions

Once the seat gets confirmed by the reporting center, candidates have to report to the allotted college or institution. Students have to bring the documents and admission fees as prescribed by the allotted college. The e-challan through which the candidate submitted the Seat Acceptance must be submitted for the confirmation of the admissions. The candidates are required to keep following the page, we will provide you with the latest update as soon as they are released on the official website of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2020.

JoSAA Counselling 2020 Round-Wise

JoSAA Counselling 2020 conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority is not just a one time deal. The counselling procedure is conducted in multiple times. JoSAA Counselling is conducted Round-wise. That is, the counselling process starts with JoSAA Counselling 2020  Round 1. The candidates who have scored the highest ranks would be appearing in the JoSAA Round 1 Counselling 2020. If the candidate does not fixes the seat in the Round 1 they will then appear for the JoSAA Counselling 2020 Round 2 and so on. Following the same fashion, Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct approximately 7 rounds of the Counselling process.

The candidates who could not secure their seats in the Round 1 will be allowed to appear in Round 2 and so on. For each round of counselling, JoSAA will separately release the Opening and Closing Rank for each JoSAA Participating Institute having vacant seats for each academic course available in the college.   1. The exam for engineering was conducted in april and till now the councelling process has yet not started .please start the process as soon as possible and oblige.

  2. Is the jossa of 2019 registration are closed or not ? if still doesnot closed then where i have registration . Could you pls send me the link to registration in jossa 2019 ?
